Who is Ezekiel Kelly, Memphis shooting spree suspect?
Ezekiel Kelly, a 19-year-old man, is being sought by Memphis police after he allegedly drove around the city on Wednesday night shooting people while live-streaming the rampage on Facebook.
The Memphis Police Department tweeted shortly before 8.30pm that they were looking for a black male driving a sedan with a red dealer tag and a broken rear window. They said he was responsible for multiple shootings.

“We are getting reports that he is recording his actions on Facebook,” police said while terming him “dangerous” and “armed.”
In the Live video, the suspect claims to have shot five people. He appears to walk into an AutoZone store and shoot a man.
Amid the search him, the Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) suspended bus and trolley services indefinitely.

“In lieu of the current danger announced by the Memphis Police Department regarding an active shooter in the Memphis area. MATA’s trolley and bus services are being suspended indefinitely. MATA leaders are acting in an abundance of caution and care for the safety of its drivers and riders,” a press release from MATA said.
The University of Memphis was also placed under lockdown after multiple shots were fired in the area of Patterson and Southern.
Ezekiel Kelly was arrested for attempted first-degree murder and reckless endangerment in 2020 and sentenced to three years imprisonment He was, however, released on March 16, this year. A first-degree murder warrant was issued for Kelly on Wednesday night.
