As a result of this, the load to the Trasacco Bulk Supply Point (BSP) will be managed to enable the construction of towers at the Volta, Accra East and Achimota substations.
Explaining the planned outage, the Director of Communications at the ECG, Mr William Boateng said it would help complete the stringing and commissioning of a new double circuit 161kv Volta-Achimota transmission line.
He said the exercise will lead to a shortfall in transmission of power to Accra during the peak load hours from 6pm to 12midnight each day.
