Manager of actress Fella Makafui, Richmond Amofa Sarpong, has addressed the allegations of her arrest by the police for selling illegal products.
On May 23, a press release by a supposed investigative journalism firm broke the news of Fella Makafui’s arrest, causing a frenzy online.

The investigative journalist’s press release established that the authorities had monitored Fella Makafui’s online activities and chosen to strike at the right time.
Contrary to initial reports suggesting her arrest, Richmond Amofa Sarpong clarified to Accra based , Joy Entertainment that she was invited for questioning and not detained.
Sarpong refuted claims that Makafui was involved in selling or promoting unapproved products.
He emphasized that most of the products in question had received necessary approvals, while the rest were undergoing the endorsement process.

Contrary to the investigative journalist’s statement indicating that Fella had admitted that most of the health and wellness products she sold were not registered with the FDA, a statement by the actress establishes that she holds a license from Ghana Traditional Medicine Practice.
These developments follow recent comments by Medikal, Makafui’s estranged husband, suggesting that she had undergone plastic surgery to enhance her body.
Medikal claimed that Makafui misled the public by attributing her physical changes to the drugs she was selling.
