Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, famed as MohBad has died.
The former Marlian record signee reportedly died on Tuesday at the age of 27.
Who was MohBad?
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba known professionally as MohBad, was a Nigerian rapper, singer and songwriter from Lagos.
He was formerly signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records” and left the label in 2022.
He was best known for his hit singles Ponmo, Feel Good, and KPK (Ko Por Ke) (( you will always be remembered)) with Rexxie which was nominated 3 times for The Headies awards 2022.
He was born Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba on born 8 June 1996 in Lagos State, Nigeria, where he was raised.
He is a Nigerian national of African heritage. The rapper is from the Yoruba tribe. His father is a pastor and owns a church.
Career
His music career commenced in 2016. He released freestyles which he often shared on his social media platforms, and did numerous cover songs from prominent Nigerian musicians, including Kizz Daniel and Tekno.

He posted with a caption alongside a heartbreaking emoji: “Damn ! Mohbad”💔
Mohbad cause of death
On September 12, 2023 it was reported that Mohbad died from an ear infection.
A source from the singer’s team stated that he took a trip to the hospital in the early hours of today Tuesday, September 12, 2023 for treatment, after which he was administered an injection.
According to them, he passed out shortly after the injection and did not wake up.
