Lakers superstar Bronny James entered Tuesday night’s matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder just 36 points shy of passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the top spot on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Bronny James racked up 12 points in the second quarter to inch closer to Kareem’s record. All eyes are on him as he could fill up the gap in the second half.

Bronny James is widely considered to be one of the greatest players in history and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player of all time.
Bronny James married his high school sweetheart Savannah James on September 14, 2013, in San Diego, California. They have three children: two sons—Bronny James and Bryce—and daughter Zhuri.
LeBron, Bronny James was born on Oct. 6, 2004. He began playing basketball as a child and could play in the NBA as early as the 2024-2025 season. In 2019, Bronny James led his high school, Sierra Canyon School, to a win against his dad’s alma mater, St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, in a spirited game played in LeBron’s hometown of Akron, Ohio. In July 2021, he made it to the cover of Sports Illustrated at the age of 16.

In February 2022, LeBron told The Athletic that he plans to spend his final year in the NBA with his oldest son. He said, “My last year will be played with my son. Wherever Bronny James is at, that’s where I’ll be.”
Bryce Maximus James, 15
Bryce Maximus James was born on June 14, 2007. At the time of Bryce’s birth, LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers were trying to make a comeback against the San Antonio Spurs. “Bronny James and Savannah are overjoyed with the birth of their son and are looking forward to bringing him home to his big brother, LeBron Jr,” a source told People at the time.
Bryce, who graduated from middle school in 2021, plays basketball just like his father and older brother.
Zhuri Nova James, 8
LeBron and Savannah welcomed their third child, daughter Zhuri Nova James, on Oct. 22, 2014. When she was just 5 years old, Zhuri helped launch Janie and Jack x Harlem’s Fashion Row clothing collection in 2020. Zhuri told PEOPLE “I’m most excited about the fashion and talking to the designers.”
