Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar who has been trending after a controversial call out from an American mother over her stolen baby’s photo has opened about the truth state of her own baby.
Earlier, Halima Abubakar shared a picture thought to be that of her new bundle of joy on Instagram on 6 April 2020, prompting congratulatory messages from fellow colleagues.

“A gift from God And I will cherish you for life. Biggest miracle. A Boy 3/4/20,” read the caption of the post.
But shortly after her announcement, an American mom exposed Halima Abubakar for claiming her baby’s picture as her own.
When the American woman confronted Halima, she apologised and explained that her motive was just to announce the birth of her own child by using “googled baby pics”.
Reacting to the issue, Nigerians took to the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to call out Halima about her actions.
Halima has now spoken on why she used another woman’s photo to announce the birth of her baby.

She wrote;
“He will be discharged tmr from icu.i didn’t post cos he was premature.God saved him.I just had to post this. For the people who didn’t see me, I have no close friends.I can’t show you a fragile child, I risked this just to post. @ruggedybaba update paddy mi.i Had to do this.Thank you. In a bid to dispel rumors that she never welcomed a baby, Halima Abubakar also shared a video showing her baby bump.
