Scores of people including police personnel gathered to catch a glimpse of the sacrifice.
A voice could be heard in the video claiming the chief was slaughtering a human being to pacify the gods of the town.
In a statement released on Monday July, 15 and signed by the Assistant Superintendent of Police Public Affairs Ashanti Region, Godwin Ahianyo, it said the video circulating on social media was not a human being rather a ram that was slaughtered.
