Nigerian singer Ayra Starr and Barbadian superstar Rihanna were the highlight of the Grand Kadooment parade, a key event in Barbados’ Crop Over festival.
Held in St. Michael, this vibrant celebration is a major part of the three-month-long festival that showcases Barbadian music, arts, food, and culture.
Since its start in 1974, Crop Over has become an annual event that attracts tourists and keeps local traditions alive.
The festival runs from June until the first Monday in August, with Kadooment Day being the grand parade and the biggest Caribbean carnival.

This year, Rihanna and Ayra Starr brought extra sparkle to the festivities with their custom bedazzled costumes designed by Lauren Austin.
Both stars commanded attention with their stunning outfits, showing off their flawless glowing skin and undeniable charisma.
Rihanna, returning to her home country, wore a dazzling outfit that featured bronze jewels and golden metal elements wrapped around her body like shimmering serpents.
Her costume covered her bust and flowed around her legs, torso, and arms, paired with a matching crown, striking high heels, and a beautiful array of colorful feathers.
Her dewy “no makeup” makeup look added a natural glow to her already radiant appearance.
