Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah has addressed recent rumors about a potential settlement in her ongoing legal dispute with actor Lilwin born Kwadwo Nkansah.
Reports from GhOne News had suggested that LilWin had expressed interest in negotiating a settlement through the Accra High Court. However, Ankomah has firmly denied these assertions.
In an exclusive interview with GhanaWeb on August 1, 2024, Ankomah clarified that there have been no direct settlement negotiations between her and LilWin.

“It is not true that LilWin has approached me for any settlement discussions. The case is still very much in court. He has not made any personal outreach; rather, he has only sent representatives,” she asserted.
Martha Ankomah also revealed that LilWin has been notably absent from all court proceedings since the lawsuit commenced.
Despite these setbacks, Ankomah expressed a willingness to drop the case if LilWin undertakes a public apology and retraction of his remarks.
“If LilWin chooses to do the right thing, I would be willing to consider dropping the case. I am a Christian and am ready to forgive. He made public insults against me, so it is only fair that he publicly retracts his statements and apologizes,” Ankomah stated.

How it started
The defamation lawsuit in question was initiated by Ankomah after LilWin made derogatory comments about her in a viral video.
Ankomah contends that these statements have not only harmed her personal reputation but have also negatively affected the GTP textile brand she represents.
She is seeking GH¢5 million in damages, which includes both compensatory and aggravated damages.
Additionally, Martha Ankomah is requesting a formal apology, a public retraction, and an injunction to prevent any further defamatory statements from LilWin.
