Alec Musser was an American actor and fitness model who died on January 12, 2024, at the age of 50. Musser is best known for appearances in the shows I Wanna Be a Soap Star and All My Children, as well as movies such as Grown Ups.
Born on April 11, 1973 in New York City and raised in New Jersey, Connecticut and San Diego, Alec Musser graduated from the University of San Diego.
An avid athlete all his life, he moved to the eastern Sierra mountains after college to work with the professional ski patrol at Mammouth Mountain, one of the largest ski resorts in North America.
During the off-season, he also worked as a lifeguard and, during his third season, he was approached by a modeling agent which eventually lead to his first modeling job with Abercrombie and Fitch.
Since then, his additional modeling credits include; Gianfrance Ferre, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health, Speedo and Target.
While modeling, Musser started booking national commercials. It was at that time that he auditioned for I Wanna Be a Soap Star (2004), which landed the role that brought him back to live in New York City.

Alec Musser died in his Del Mar, California home on January 12, 2024, at the age of 50. No cause of death was immediately revealed.
Adam Sandler, who shared the screen with Musser in 2010’s Grown Ups, took to social media to express his condolences.
“I loved this guy. Cannot believe he is gone. Such a wonderful, funny good man. Thinking of him and his family and sending all my love. A true great sweetheart of a person,” Sandler wrote.

The couple got engaged last year and Press posted a series of throwback photos on her Instagram Story in a tribute to the late actor.
RIP to the love of my life,’ she wrote on Instagram over a ‘vision board for 2023’ on which she had posted photos of him and engagement images. ‘I will never stop loving you.’
Over a photo of them at a red carpet appearance together, she wrote: ‘Today is the worst day of my life. We were so happy.’
‘You were the best fiancé I could of [sic] ever asked for,’ she posted alongside a photo of him surprising her with matching Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUVs. ‘I don’t even think I can drive my g wagon anymore.’
