His endorsement was accompanied by a campaign song, titled “Kpoyaka”, and in the song, he highly praised Nana Akufo-Addo and his government, and urged Ghanaians and his loyal fans to vote prodigiously for him.
Samini went ahead to labelled Nana Addo as ‘show boy’ – a popular local jargon used to describe people whose efforts are widely recognised by the entire nation.
Samini praised Akufo-Addo’s government for making some significant projects in its first four years, including roads, free education, creation of jobs and more in the music video.

Since releasing the song, Samini has been bashed by his fans – especially those who support the opposition party, NDC – for choosing sides.
Explaining his decision to endorse Akufo-Addo’s candidature, he stated that he wants him to continue his ‘good leadership’.
“To continue the good leadership bro. In my humble singular opinion sir… we may share similar opinions or agree to disagree but that’s what makes democracy beautiful . Make a choice and see you on 7th December bro. #akyesaaaaaaaaa”, Samini tweeted.
He revealed this in a tweet when a fan questioned his choice.
