Garba Umar, Commissioner of Police INTERPOL, has now established the apprehension of Hushpuppi who was first rumoured to have been apprehended on Wednesday, June 10, 2020

During a chat with TheNation, he said: “It is true that Hushpuppi was apprehended by the INTERPOL. We are at the moment collaborating to bring him to Nigeria to face charges of fraud.
Hushpuppi has committed some ofences here in Nigeria and he has to answer for them. He is not alone in it; there are several associates in the country who are at the moment on trial.”
Reports have suggested that Hushpuppi and his associates in Nigeria, Dubai and other countries purportedly bamboozled the U.S of over $100 million Covid Relief Funds meant for Americans in the fight against the economic impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
