Ghana’s largest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended it’s one core member Bernard Allotey Jacobs.
The decision was taken by the Functional Executive Committee acting on behalf of the National Executive Committee of the party.

In a letter dated May 6, 2020, Allotey Jacobs was suspended for exhibiting ‘persistent anti-party conduct’.
“The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress acting on behalf of the National Executive Committee of the party, at its meeting held on Wednesday the 6th day of May, 2020, has suspended you forthwith as member pursuant to Article 41(6), 46(6) 46(8)(b) of the party’s constitution for your persistent anti-party conduct”, the letter addressed to Allotey Jacobs read.

The letter added that the matter has been referred to the Disciplinary Committee of the party for the necessary actions to be taken.
Allotey Jacobs was a regular panelist on the show but preferred to be called a ‘social commentator’.
