8th July 2019, the Ghana Black Stars were kicked out of the AFCON 2019 competition at the round 16th stage.
Ghana lost to Tunisia at the round of 16 at the penalties. Tunisia won by 5 goals to 4 after Caleb Ekuban missed one penalty for the Blackstars.

As expected, Many Ghanaians have expressed their out-right displeasure at the lack-luster performance of the team on social media, football analyst and ex-players have also expressed their thoughts on the defeat and the overall performance of the coach.
