Renowned gospel musician Yaw Sarpong has finally addressed the public after His wife brought their marital issues to Auntie Naa’s show on Oyerepa FM.
The wife of Yaw Sarpong, identified as Maame Pinamang, has become a topic of discussion after she appeared on the popular radio show Oyerepa Afutuo, hosted by Auntie Naa on Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
On Friday, she complained bitterly about the treatment she has received from the family of the gospel musician following his illness.

Maame Pinamang, who has been married to Yaw Sarpong for forty years, said that ever since her husband became ill, his family has denied her access to him.
She also accused Tiwaa, the female vocalist who has been with Yaw Sarpong, of taking the musician away from her.
Adwoa mentioned that she lived with Tiwaa for thirteen years at Ashtown, a suburb of Kumasi.
However, she claimed that Tiwaa has transitioned from just being a vocalist to becoming Yaw Sarpong’s concubine.

Yaw Sarpong has refuted some allegations made by Adwoa Penamang, a woman who has insisted that she is the wife of the gospel music star.
At a Sunday church service at New Jerusalem Chapel where he is receiving treatment, Yaw Sarpong clarified that he divorced Penamang 20 years ago when she chose to leave their children in Accra and relocate to Kumasi without a substantial reason.
Sarpong noted that he reported the matter to Penamang’s father, after which he [Sarpong] considered their marriage to be over.
The musician acknowledged that although the decision was made, he did not conduct the necessary rites with his estranged wife’s family that would have formally ended the marriage.
Sarpong also dismissed claims of an affair with fellow musician, Maame Tiwaa, and explained his decision to allow her to care for him rather than Penamang.
