In 1994, Alanis Morissette finally met the ideal collaborator: Glen Ballard, a songwriter and producer who had previously worked with a wide range of musicians, including Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, and Aretha Franklin. She then made her home in Los Angeles at the age of 19.
