I’m not respected or valued in this country’ – Apostle Kwadwo Safo laments (Video)

Ghanaian inventor and pastor Apostle Kwadwo Safo is speaking out about his frustration with the lack of recognition he receives in Ghana.

In a candid interview with Cheddar, the founder of Kristo Asafo Church shared his disappointment over the country’s preference for formal education over practical innovation.

Apostle Safo, known for his impressive industrial inventions, believes that his contributions are overlooked because people in Ghana often prioritize academic credentials and eloquence over real-world industrial skills.

“People think education is more important and that what I do doesn’t matter,” he said. “They criticize my work and vision because they believe that reading and writing are superior.”

He emphasized that while he creates products comparable to those from abroad, many Ghanaians prefer to buy imported goods rather than support local innovations.

“It’s frustrating. Even though I make similar products to what foreigners make, people still favor imported items,” he added.

Apostle Safo also pointed out the economic troubles Ghana faces and blamed the lack of focus on industrialization for some of the country’s financial issues.
