A young man in Dunkwa Kyekyewere Station, Central Region, got himself into a truly sticky situation after trying to rob a gold buyer’s kitchen.
It turns out his heist went from sneaky to downright embarrassing when his hand got stuck in the roof!
The wild scene unfolded at midnight on August 7, 2024. After facing a series of thefts, the gold buyer decided to consult a spiritualist to help catch the thieves.

Following the spiritualist’s tips, the buyer’s plan to catch the culprit took a bizarre twist when the thief was discovered hanging by a window, with his hand firmly jammed in the roof.
Caught in the act—and stuck in the roof—the thief was left dangling in full view of the neighborhood.
He was clearly in distress and pleading for help, but the locals, despite their curiosity, couldn’t do much to free him. The poor guy spent the entire night stuck like a fly in a web!
Come morning, the gold buyer finally showed up to perform some mystical rituals to rescue the hapless thief.

In a video that’s now making rounds online, you can hear the trapped thief desperately insisting, “I’m not a thief,” while bemused onlookers ask, “How did you end up in that mess then?”
According to EDHUB’s post: “On the night of September 7, 2024, the hand of a thief was stuck to the roof of a gold buyer’s kitchen in Dunkwa Kyekyewere Station. The gold buyer, fed up with multiple thefts, turned to a spiritualist for help. The thief was found in an awkward position, unable to escape and calling for assistance.”
