Carjackers behind Stonebwoy’s road manager’s car theft reportedly arrested

Ghana Police have made a significant breakthrough in a car theft case involving the road manager of popular Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy.

On August 27, 2024, Accra-based Angel TV reported that police have arrested three suspects and recovered three stolen vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz C300 that belonged to Stonebwoy’s road manager.

The suspects are Peter Amuzu, also known as Master P, Ibrahim, known as Dawah, and Isaac Eshun. They were arrested in different locations: Amuzu in Accra, Dawah in Tamale, and Eshun in Takoradi. Although the cars were stolen in Accra, all three suspects were eventually found in Tamale.

Peter Amuzu, who is believed to be the leader of the car theft ring, is accused of planning the thefts and managing the swift transport of the stolen vehicles to Tamale with the help of his accomplices.

Amuzu is not new to law enforcement; he was previously arrested on suspicion of carjacking five years ago, although that case did not proceed.

The suspects are now in police custody and are expected to face court proceedings soon. The ongoing investigation is focusing on their car-snatching operations.

The successful recovery of the stolen vehicles marks a significant achievement for the Ghana Police in their ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure public safety, providing a sense of security to the public.

On August 20, Stonebwoy had urged the police and the public for help after his road manager was robbed at gunpoint.

Speaking on GTV’s Breakfast Show, Stonebwoy explained that his manager and a friend were attacked shortly after Stonebwoy had parted ways with them.

The incident occurred when the road manager was dropping off the friend at home and was confronted by two armed robbers who forcibly entered their compound.
