Ghanaian stylist Modabertha wowed fans with a behind-the-scenes look at crafting Nana Ama McBrown’s stunning kente dress.
The dress was made for the special Sunday episode of Onua Showtime, which aired on August 18, 2024, celebrating McBrown’s 47th birthday.
In a video posted on Instagram, Bertha Amissah shows the detailed process of creating the kente dress. She used fabric from Goba Kente and worked for several days to create the beautiful garment.

The video includes clips of the dress being meticulously sewn and hand-painted, with a design initially created on an iPad.
In her Instagram caption, Bertha highlighted the effort and time put into the dress, noting that it took several days of meticulous work to complete.
“Ladies and Gentlemen…. HER 👑 🦋We made this hand-painted dress for the Empress @iamamamcbrown, days, hours, minutes, and seconds of labor to produce this piece of artwork 🦋 for a Queen. Dress by @modabertha.”
Nana Ama McBrown was clearly impressed by the craftsmanship. In the comments section of the video, she described the outfit as a “classic” and expressed her appreciation with, “Classic 🦋💕🦋 #Brimm.”
