Nicholas Omane Acheampong cries foul as NPP overlooks his loyal support (Video)

Ghanaian gospel artist Nicholas Omane Acheampong has recently voiced his dissatisfaction with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for what he sees as a disregard for his loyal support.

In an interview with Kumasi-based Ash FM, the ‘Zaphenath Panea’ star revealed his disappointment at the lack of recognition and reward for his dedication.

Acheampong, who has been a staunch supporter of the NPP since 2008, claimed that he has gone to great lengths to help the party. He mentioned using four of his personal cars for various campaign activities, but despite these contributions, he has not received any form of acknowledgment from the party.

“Since 2008, I have supported the NPP. I even used four of my own cars to help with their campaigns. Yet, up to now, no one from the party has even offered me a pick-up vehicle as a thank you,” Acheampong said.

He further explained that many people in the creative arts industry also support the NPP but are reluctant to openly express their support due to the way the party treats its public backers. Acheampong emphasized that it’s not just about financial compensation but about receiving recognition and appreciation.

“A lot of people in the creative arts sector support the NPP, but they can’t openly declare their support because they’ve seen how the party treats those who stand up for them,” he said.

Acheampong also addressed the upcoming elections, suggesting that the NPP could strengthen their position by showing more gratitude to their supporters.

He noted that while John Mahama may not pose a serious challenge to the NPP, a greater show of appreciation could still benefit the party in future elections.

“John Mahama isn’t a big threat to the NPP, but the party could do a lot better in the next elections by appreciating those who have supported them,” Acheampong concluded.
