Former president and NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama had the crowd in fits of laughter at a recent town hall meeting organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
During the event, Mahama entertained the crowd by sharing two well-known jokes from popular Ghanaian comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney, known as DKB.
During his speech, Mahama recalled a joke where DKB, while delivering a motivational talk encouraging the youth to stay focused and work hard, gets hilariously distracted by a woman with a striking figure in the audience.

Mahama also humorously recounted another DKB joke that depicted the comedic clash between different ethnic groups in historical conflicts. His lively performance and imitation of DKB’s style brought a lot of joy to the audience.
The town hall meeting, organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was more than just a platform for laughter.
It also served as a vital forum for addressing serious issues within the creative arts sector.
One significant concern raised by attendees was the high cost and slow speed of internet access, which many in the industry believe hampers their ability to produce and share content effectively.

“I am also a content creator, and I agree with what my colleague just said. The issue of internet connectivity for content creators is a big concern. It’s not just about the cost of internet but also its speed,” said comedy skit-maker SDK during a question session with Mahama.
