In a shocking incident on Monday night, armed robbers targeted a church service in New Brighton, causing panic and fear among the worshippers.
The attack occurred at around 19:20 at Assemblies of God, and a video from the scene has quickly spread on social media.
According to reports, four armed men burst into the church during the evening service and fired a gunshot into the air.

The congregation, caught off guard, scrambled for cover as the robbers demanded valuables.
Witnesses report that the men stole personal belongings and an undisclosed amount of money, including four cell phones and a laptop.
Mazanti, one of the victims, described the terrifying moment. He said that as the pastor was about to finish his sermon, he noticed a commotion at the back of the church. When he turned around, he saw a man with a gun walking to the front.
The congregation quickly fell to the floor, crying and praying, as the man fired another shot. The robbers then began searching the attendees and stealing their possessions. Despite the fear and confusion, no one was reported killed in the attack.

Mazanti expressed relief that there were no fatalities and confirmed that the revival services would continue.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) New Brighton is investigating the case of business robbery. The suspects remain at large as the search for them continues.
