Prophet Nicholas Osei, aka Prophet Kumchacha, blames President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the drop in church offerings.
This outburst comes after a recent service on July 28, 2024, where the clergyman expressed frustration over the minimal contributions made by his congregation.
In a video that has since gone viral on social media, the founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministries lamented the dire state of financial support from his church members.

“Today, we were not able to collect any meaningful offerings at all. Most of you gave only coins and 1 Ghana cedi ,” he said, visibly disheartened.
“With these kinds of offerings, how do we expect the church to grow? How can we sustain and advance the work of God with such meager amounts of money?”
Despite his evident disappointment, Prophet Kumchacha was quick to temper his critique with empathy, placing much of the blame on the broader economic situation.
He pointed the finger directly at the government, attributing the poor economic conditions to the administration of President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia.

“The truth is, I don’t blame you too much,” Prophet Kumchacha said to his congregation.
“I blame Nana Addo and Bawumia. I, Prophet Kumchacha, don’t blame anyone else; I lay the blame squarely on them. If you look into this offering bowl, you will only find coins; even the notes are scant. I blame the president and his vice. The economy is bad, and everyone is suffering.”
