Nigerian singer, and songwriter, Simisola Kosoko, widely known as Symply Simi, has reacted to the public outcry over her recent appearance at a poolside event.
Simi recently went to the pool with her husband, family and friends, where she played the trending game ‘2345678’.
Because she was at the pool, she played the game while wearing her swimsuit, and the video went viral.
Critics berated the mother-of-one for exposing her body so much despite being a married woman.

However, reacting to the backslash in a controversial video shared on her Instagram page, the singer sarcastically apologised for not knowing better.
“I just came here feeling repentant. Guys, yesterday I went to the swimming pool wearing a swimsuit and I’m so sorry. Honestly I wasn’t thinking. I should have known better. I didn’t know better. I’m sorry.
“Next time I go to the swimming pool, just in respect to my husband I will wear a kaftan. I will do better. Better than the best. I don’t want to disappoint you and give you any reason to look down on me and my marriage.”

In like fashion, she lightheartedly encouraged her followers and critics to support her music amidst the controversy.
She concluded, “If nothing, please stream my album Lost and Found, because I was lost at the pool and now I’m found.”
