Who is Melissa Koh Chen?
Melissa Koh Chen is a Singaporean lifestyle influencer and entrepreneur. Born on May 16, 1989, she is mainly active on Instagram and YouTube. She has over 266K followers on Instagram, and 14.9K subscribers and 2.2 million views on YouTube as of January 2023.
Melissa works for a number of reputed brands like Singapore Airlines, Tiffany & Co, and Swarovski. She is also the brand ambassador for Fujifilm. In September 2016, Melissa married her childhood friend and boyfriend James Chen.
The couple welcomed their first child on January 8, 2019, and named him Noha Tobias Chen. On June 24, 2021, Melissa Koh and James Chen welcomed their second son Asher Matthias Chen. The couple is currently expecting their third child later this year.
How did Asher Matthias Chen die?
Asher Matthias Chen, the second son of Singaporean influencer Melissa Koh, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. He was just 22 months old. Melissa had been posting about her son’s condition on Instagram which started worsening since March 30th.
Unfortunately, Asher died due to the heart condition he was born with. The doctors tried their best to save the baby but they couldn’t. Melissa announced the death of her beloved son on Friday, April 7, 2023, along with the schedule of the funeral services.

Asher Matthias cause of death?
Melissa Koh Chen’s son Asher Matthias died of a congenital heart condition he suffered from. The kid was born on June 17, 2021, but had to undergo open-heart surgery a week later on June 24, 2021.
The baby was put in the NICU just after his birth. Over time, Melissa had to take extreme care of Asher and his heart. On March 30, 2023, his oxygen levels dropped suddenly and the famous Instagram celebrity rushed him to the hospital.
He was getting treatment there. However, the kid passed away a couple of days later. His parents were heartbroken by the news.

Melissa also shared the funeral arrangements and obituary of Asher Matthias. A prayer session for the late child will take place at 8 PM on Saturday and Sunday, April 8 and 9, 2023, at the Church of St. Mary of the Angels (La Verna Chapel).
