The community of Ichabod Crane Central School District was dealt a shocking blow this week, with the unexpected death of popular student Alexis Cintron. Matthew Nelson, Board Member of the ICC Board of Education, announced his passing in a post on Thursday 9th March 2023.
The reaction to this news has been one of immense mourning and solidarity, with many coming together to support Alexis and his family in this difficult time.

On Thursday 9th March, 2023, Dave Ames set up a GoFundMe page to help support the grieving family of Alexis Cintron. It was intended to collect $5,000 but, on the date of this publication, $26,245 had been donated by 453 donors.
A statement from the fundraiser described him as “an intelligent, fun loving young man” who has unfortunately passed away too soon. By donating to this campaign, fundraisers are actively contributing to providing Alexis Cintron with a fitting memorial service.
