Who is Prue Leith’s son Danny Kruger?
Danny Kruger is a Conservative MP.
Danny Kruger is the son of celebrity chef Prue Leith and South African author Rayne Kruger, who died in 2002.
Danny Kruger has filmed a show with his mother titled Prue and Danny’s Death Road Trip, which explores the debate surrounding assisted dying.
Leith is in favour of assisted death, citing the pain that her late brother David suffered when he died of bone cancer aged 74 in 2012.
Kruger however is strongly against the legalisation of assisted dying, and the pair go to head to head during the programme.
Danny Kruger is the chairman of Dying Well, the all party parliamentary group campaigning against assisted suicide.
Their reason for this view, according to their website, is that: “It exposes vulnerable people to pressure – in their own minds or directly from family members and even medical staff – to end their lives so they are not a ‘burden’ on others.”
