Whilst Nigerian born influencer Hushpuppi flaunted his billionaire lifestyle on the gram, his family were living in abject poverty, claims outspoken journalist Kemi Olunloyo…
The writer has named and shamed the social media star – real name Ramon Abbas – for abandoning his immediate family who were in dire need of the basic human necessities, whilst he was busy boarding private jets, indulging in feasts fit for kings and wearing designer clothes

Kemi alleges Hushpuppi even turned his nose at his sick sister who needed a mere N3500 to undergo a life-saving medical treatment, of which she later died from not receiving.
“I want Hushpuppi to face the full wrath of the law. His sister DIED because his poor family could not pay a N3500 bill,” Kemi tweeted.

I want HushPuppi to face the full wrath of the law. His sister DIED at LUTH because his poor family couldn't pay a N3500 bill. A persecuted Journalist asks u for medical bill help, instead of saying NO you made her apologize to a blogger who stole N30M from me— K🎙️ (@KemiOlunloyo) July 14, 2020
The journo also claimed Hushpuppi snubbed her when she appealed to him to pay her medical bills.
Instead he duped her into believing he would help, only if she apologised to her nemesis; model and blogger Linda Ikeji. After she issued a public apology, Hushpuppi allegedly backtracked on his offer, claims Kemi.

I thank God for not giving me a PENNY of HushPuppi's money. God fought for me. It was the Emenikes that eventually paid off my medical bills and even replaced our belongings in the violent Ibadan home invasion. The others were Marlians who donated 2K each💚🇳🇬 pic.twitter.com/vJQdxwdjWS— K🎙️ (@KemiOlunloyo) July 14, 2020

Meanwhile Hushpuppi has been denied bail by a US magistrate who sided with claims from prosecutors who believe that he can continue to commit cyber crimes with ‘just a smartphone and an internet connection’ as well as him posing as a flight risk.
Hushpuppi was recently extradited to America after his arrest in Dubai, here he has now been charged with a number of cyber crimes including money-laundering, identity theft and large-scale fraud.
He will remain in police custody until his trial begins later this year.
