Ghana’s covid-19 count has risen to a total of 5,127. This is according to the Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye.
Dr Patrick Aboagye, Director General of the Ghana Health Service, disclosed this at a press conference Tuesday.

Out of the 427 new cases, 272 are from the Obuasi township. He said a further 130 patients are awaiting for their second negative test to ascertain their status.
5 persons are said to be critically or moderately ill while 494 have totally recovered.
The Greater Accra region has recorded 89 new cases whilst the Ashanti region has 307 new cases.

The Central region has also recorded 27 new cases with the Western and Volta regions recording 3 and 1 new cases respectively.
According to Dr. Aboagye, majority of the new cases were recorded from workplaces.
“Let’s create the necessary space at workplaces because they are becoming hotspots,” he said.
