A video of a bridge commissioned by Ursula Owusu, just four months ago, has surfaced as it was washed away by overrunning water and recorded live on camera.
On January 11, 2020, news broke that the honourable Minister of Communications and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency had constructed a floating bridge over Chemu Lagoon which has caused traffic on social media.

It was reported that the special bridge was made with a floating ability to ensure that any time the lagoon overflowed its banks the bridge automatically will rise or float and will again return to its normal position when the flood subsides.
Clearly, that did not happen when the rains started to set in as the bridge was easily carried away by gentle waves of a flood as though nothing held it together in position.
In the fast-trending video, residents of the area were seen shouting and cheering as the bridge got carried away by the flood. One may ask why the cheering? Is a mystery.

Reports indicated that they have currently resorted to some temporary wooden structures to facilitate movement whilst plans are taken to resolve the damages caused by the flood.
