The residents of Amasaman who joined forces to beat SWAT Unit Police Officer, Sgt Atta Mahama Mahanadi have been arrested by the Ghana police services after the video emerged.
The video which has gone viral, shows civilians attacking the policeman who was in a police uniform, following a misunderstanding.

In the about 40-second video, the policeman was seen receiving punches from young men, while some Good Samaritans were seen frantically trying to stop them.
In all 20 people have been arrested in connection with the assault. They will be arraigned before the court to face various charges of assault.

According to Amasaman Divisional Police Command, the 20 people were arrested at swoop last night Monday 6th May at various locations within the Ga West Municipal district in the Greater Accra Region.
