Pastors are usually held in high regard, particularly by Africans because they see them as representatives of God and His word. However, this has led to several sour stories because rather than being logical, people prefer to listen to their religious leaders.
A female pastor was said to be arrested alongside her aides in Luweero, Uganda, after a five-month-old child died in their care.
It was reported that the mother of the child, Asineyi Biira, complained that her baby was sick, and the female pastor, Viola Nassanga, convinced the mother to hand the child over for prayers.

The matter was reported to the police and they rushed to the pastors’ house, where the child’s decomposing body was discovered.
The police arrested Nassanga, her aides namely Juliet Nakayenga and Edith Nabuule, as well as the landlord of the room where the child died, Lazaro Walakira

According to reports, upon the discovery of the child’s death, the pastor tried to convince the mother to remain calm, claiming that she had powers to resurrect the dead child.
Other pastors of Luweero Pastors’ Fellowship have disassociated themselves from Viola Nassanga, claiming that she practices witchcraft instead of Christianity.
