Kantanka automobile has been the talk of the day with many believing Government will implement a favorable policy to suit its demand.
Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, a high ranking member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has break his silence after using kantanka Mensah.
Gabby started, that is important Kantanka ventures into mass production of small cars that will be affordable for the indigenous citizens.

A post AtinkaNews sighted as Gabby shared on his Facebook page reads:
“Yes, I own a Kantanka Mensah. It drives just like any other car in its range. I love it! My only issue with the manufacturers is that they should be looking more at building mass produced vehicles which many Ghanaians can afford. Like, the small cars now used for Uber in Accra. Kantanka can be the model for taxis in Ghana if only the manufacturer can target the $8-12,000 market. Keep it basic! A/C, radio, no frills.”

He is optimistic that the small Kantanka cars when produced can be the models used for Taxis in Ghana as well. He opines that the manufacturers can price the cars on the market ranging from $8 – $12,000.

He advised that the small cars should not be complicated but should be basic. With the inclusion of and Air condition (A/C) and a radio.
German Car manufacturing company Volkswagen is set to put up a plant in Ghana by the middle of 2019 to produce cars in the country.
The proposal by Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko if taken upon by Kantanka can take over the local market before Volkswagen arrives.
