Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie endorses Locally produced Ghana rice for all. Ghana has been manufacturing its own rice for over some years now however, Ghanaians prefer foreign rice which is imported at a cost.
Recently, Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur John Dumelo made some statements to also encourage Ghanaians to start eating local rice as the cost by government to import could be used to support local farmers.
Due to the acquired taste for foreign Rice, most Ghanaians find it difficult to change to local rice and some also claim its too expensive. After Sarkodie made the post about switching to local rice, most of his followers seemed to agree and some said they would also try it.

If government could get more celebrities as ambassadors for locally produced rice, this will push more Ghanaians to start eating local rice.
