Tom Emmer is a Republican politician who has been the majority whip in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2023. He represents Minnesota’s 6th district, which covers parts of central and eastern Minnesota. He was also the House Republican Conference’s third nominee for the October 2023 Speaker of the House election, but he withdrew himself from the race four hours after being nominated.
