Billy Miller was an American actor. He was recognized for his work on American soap operas, including his award-winning work as Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless and his dual portrayals of Jason Morgan and Drew Cain on General Hospital.
Early life and education
Billy Miller was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. As a child, Miller spent five years as a patient of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, an organization he now supports.
Miller attended Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas, and the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, where he received a communications degree and was one of only twenty students in the film department’s intensive Production Sequence.
Career
After graduating from college, Miller moved out to Los Angeles where he began working in the mail room of Industry Entertainment.
Then, he began working as an amateur model and landed appearances in major corporation commercials such as JCPenney and Pizza Hut.
He has also appeared on CSI: NY and All My Children.
However, it was his performance in The Young and the Restless that fetched him awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series via the Emmys in 2010 and again in 2013, as well as one for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2014.

Actress Octavia Spencer, who co-starred alongside Billy in TV series Truth Be Told, shared a tribute to the actor on Instagram.
‘I am speechless. I’m laying here scrolling through IG and came across a post that we lost Billy Miller. To his family, legions of fans, and our #TruthBeTold family my deepest condolences,’ she wrote underneath a photo of the actor.
General Hospital actor Jon Lindstrom described Miller as “gifted, smart, funny, and impressed me as a great friend to those close to him”.
The Young and the Restless put out a statement saying: “The daytime community mourns the loss of Billy Miller who graced Y&R with his talent for many years as Billy Abbott.”
