Who is Amy Robach?
Amy Robach is an American television reporter who used to work for ABC News. She was the co-anchor of 20/20 and the breaking news anchor for Good Morning America.
Robach first entered national television by working for NBC News from August 2003 to May 2012. She served as a national correspondent for NBC News from 2003 to 2007 and became co-host of the Saturday edition of NBC’s Today as well as anchor on MSNBC from 2007 to 2012.
From May 2012 to January 2023, Robach worked for ABC News. She was a contributor for Good Morning America from May 2012 until March 2020, when she became the host of Pandemic: What You Need to Know, a show created in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The show would later become GMA3: What You Need to Know, which she co-hosted from September 2020 to December 2022. Robach also served as co-anchor of 20/20 alongside David Muir from May 2018 until January 2023. She was fired from ABC after it was revealed that she had a romantic relationship with her Good Morning America co-host T.J. Holmes.

Robach was married to Tim McIntosh from 1996 until filing for an uncontested divorce in 2008. Robach became engaged to former Melrose Place star Andrew Shue in September 2009.
They were married on her 37th birthday, February 6, 2010, at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, adjacent to the Hudson River.
It was reported they separated in August 2022, after it was discovered Robach was having a relationship with her GMA3 co-anchor T. J. Holmes. The divorce was reportedly finalized in March 2023.

Robach gave birth to daughter Ava born on December 29, 2002
The reporter’s eldest is musically inclined, announcing via Instagram in February 2023 that her debut album, “A Place to Come Home To,” was on the way.
The record, which Ava called “a labor of love & the product of years spent honing [her] sound for live audiences,” debuted two months later.
Annalise McIntosh
Annalise is Robach’s youngest daughter, born on May 10, 2006.
Robach told Us Weekly in a June 2017 interview that her daughters never found her fame to be “anything out of the ordinary.”
“The beautiful thing about kids is that they’re the center of their own universe,” she explained at the time. “Ava and Annie will call me while I’m doing my newscast. I’m like, ‘Guys, I’m a little busy between the hours of 7 and 9.’”
In contrast to their mom’s public lifestyle, both Ava and Annalise maintain a much more private profile. However, they posted a tribute to Robach on Mother’s Day in May 2023.
The former GMA3 host was celebrated by both daughters in posts on each of their Instagram Stories.

In October 2021, Robach and ex-husband Shue published a children’s book, Better Together, inspired by their own blended family. It’s centered around compromise and learning to appreciate others’ differences.
The children’s book, illustrated by Lenny Wen, follows a family of chipmunks and a family of squirrels that must find a way to live together after a big thunderstorm causes them to flee from their woodland homes.
When speaking with PEOPLE at the time of its release, Robach explained that the idea for the book began when she and Shue came up with a metaphor in their own backyard for their new family union.
“We used to actually tell them stories, and especially the little ones, about the animals in our yard and how they all became a family together,” she said. “The whole ‘better together’ concept is just teaching people that it’s not about whose side you’re on or who did it better. It’s about coming together.”
Robach said the “beautiful part about it” was how their children came together as a family, “just to see how well and how willing they were to ultimately love each other.”
