As a way of enforcing the law on nose mask wearing ordered by President Nana Akufo Addo, a military man has flogged a taxi driver for flouting the directive.
During the latest Presidential Covid-19 update on TV, the President Akufo-Addo has ordered the Inspector General of Police, Mr. James Oppong-Boanuh, to strictly enforce the mandatory wearing of nose masks among the populace as the nation continues to grapple with the Coronavirus pandemic.
The President gave this directive in his 22nd COVID-19 update to the nation on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

“I have instructed the Inspector General of Police to direct officers, men, and women of the Police Service to ensure the rigorous enforcement of the law on mask-wearing at all public places and in public transport,” he said.
But it seems some recalcitrant citizens who still feel the disease is a hoax are not adhering to the simple instructions which prompted this soldier to descend on the taxi driver.
