Popular Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown is celebrated all over Ghana and beyond for her acting prowess and she is one of the most successful screen goddesses of her time
According to an interview with Voice of America’s Linord Moudou on her VIP With Linord show, McBrown has opened up about her ‘grass to grace’ story.
The celebrated actress revealed that, a few years ago, she was not doing well financially and it took the advice of a good friend to help her turn things around for her.

In a video from the interview, McBrown narrated that she was so broke at points in time that she once had to beg a friend to lend her GHC50 to feed.
After getting the GHC50, she had to manage it so well that it could keep her through one week, she added.
She was not having so much until a good friend advised her to ‘marry her job’. “Years ago, I went so broke [that] a friend of mine gave me GHC50 and I survived on that for about a week. 2008.
