Students of Obuasi Secondary Technical School have made a hand sensitive Veronica bucket to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
Unlike the normal Veronica bucket, one does not need to turn on the tap before water would flow.

Rather, the bucket starts dispensing running water without the person washing their hands touching to the tap to turn it on.
The Robotics team of the school, led by their teacher Solomon Nchor, developed the touch-free electronic veronica bucket.
The artefact is designed in a way that, once you place your hand beneath the tap, the water begins to automatically flow.

This innovation is essential in the fight against the spread of coronavirus because it avoids a point of contact.
Nobody will be touching the tap to leave or pick up any virus.
