The rivalry between Ghana’s dancehall duo, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, has moved to a different level.
A commotion started when Stonebwoy was called to receive the award for ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ during last Saturday’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

While Stonebwoy was still making his remark after taking his award, Shatta Wale and his team walked on to the stage with his fans supposedly to congratulate Stonebwoy for the award but the move was interpreted by Stonebwoy’s team as an attempt to revolt.
Stonebwoy later pulled a gun during the fracas as was captured in many Videos circulating on social media.
However, it seems Stonebwoy might be in much bigger trouble.

His offence — the part about the gun.
He might be a licensed gun owner, however, there are laws governing pulling out guns in public places, especially in an auditorium where Ministers of state, ambassadors and high commissioners were present.
According to the Arms and Ammunition Act – 1972 (NRCD 9), Section 7 (Control of Public Display of Arms or Ammunition, Etc.) No person shall, except in accordance with the terms of a permit granted under this Decree or with the written consent of the Inspector-General of Police, publicly display any arms or ammunition (including explosives) or discharge any firearm or other weapon in any public place.
Now, even that applies to the performance of traditional ceremonies.
This could be the act that gives Stonebwoy a lot of legal trouble.
