Kumawood actress Mercy Asiedu has fired back at fashion critic Charlie Dior following his comments about her outfit from an event earlier this year.
In March 2024, Mercy’s colorful ensemble sparked considerable attention after it went viral online.
At the public event, she showcased a tight-fitted, multi-colored spaghetti-strapped top, paired with a denim skirt and trendy boots.

Her look was further enhanced by a choker, bold earrings, and a belt chain, making a striking impression as she confidently walked down the hallway.
However, Charlie Dior found fault with her appearance, suggesting that the outfit didn’t suit her “triangularly inverted” body type.
He criticized the proportions of her outfit and claimed she had over-accessorized, stating that it was not a flattering look for her.
In a recent interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Mercy Asiedu addressed Charlie Dior’s comments. When asked if his criticisms affected her, she stated, “I don’t listen to them. I don’t dress for anyone or to impress people. I dress to match my body and what pleases me and my husband.”

Mercy emphasized that her husband’s opinion is what truly matters to her. “If my husband raises concern about my outfit, I would change it. Whoever criticizes my dressing, it is up to you. Maybe you don’t have anything to do; that’s why you have time to do such things. If you are a busy person, I don’t think you’d have time to chastise people’s dressing. I don’t care about one person’s criticisms,” she added.
