A student of St. John’s Grammar Senior High School in Accra recently experienced a shocking twist in his quest for an upgrade.
Eager to trade his iPhone 7 for an iPhone XR, he headed to Circle, only to find himself at the center of an elaborate scam!
After striking a deal, the student handed over his prized iPhone 7 and even forked out GH¢300.

But instead of walking away with a shiny new phone, he ended up with a neatly packaged phone case filled with—you guessed it—building tiles!
The whole ordeal was captured in a viral video that has left viewers both amused and stunned.
“I wanted to swap my phone. I gave him 7 Plus for XR,” he explained, looking as though he had just stepped into a bizarre comedy sketch.
Onlookers couldn’t believe their eyes, gathering around to witness the unfortunate twist of fate.
What made this even more mind-boggling was that the scammer handed over what seemed to be a fully functioning phone.

“I switched it (the iPhone XR) on oo. I switched it on!” he lamented, his confusion only growing as he processed the elaborate ruse.
