Kofi Kinaata has been setting social media on fire with his excitement after receiving an epic shout-out from the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

During the General Conference of the Ghana Bar Association, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II took the spotlight to sing Kinaata’s praises.
He mentioned the singer in his speech and dropped a line from Kinaata’s hit song “Susuka”—specifically the phrase “Obi nya way3,” which means appreciating what you have.

Otumfuo used this to remind everyone how lucky Ghana is, even amid challenges, and urged folks to reflect on Kinaata’s wise words.
Kofi Kinaata was absolutely thrilled by the shout-out and took to social media to share his joy in three delightful posts.
First up, he posted a heartfelt message about how Otumfuo’s approval is a monumental milestone in his life.
His next post featured him listening to the Asantehene’s commendation while seated at his laptop, his happiness evident.

In Kofi’s final post, he was seen pulling the duvet off the bed in his hotel room and wrapping it around himself as if it were a kente cloth.
He walked towards the camera and said excitedly: “Otumfuo mention your name before? You know Otumfuo?”
He then proceeded to walk like a king through the hallway of the hotel floor where he was lodged.
In the caption, Kofi Kinaata bragged and hailed the Asantehene for mentioning his name in his speech.
