He played college football for the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders. Byard was drafted by the Titans in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
In 2017, his second season in the NFL, he was selected to the Pro Bowl and the first-team All-Pro and was the co-leader for most interceptions throughout the season.
