Mary Moraa Parent – Mary Moraa who has been nicknamed as the Dancing Queen is a Kenyan athlete who is specialized in the 800m races.
Mary Moraa biography
Moraa was born on the 15th of June in 2000. She is currently 23 years. Moraa became an orphan at the age of two years after the successive deaths of her father and mother.
She was raised by her grandparents, in Kisii in western Kenya. He talent in athletics helped her to win an education bursary.
Mary Moraa Career
At the 2019 World Athletics Championships, she competed in the mixed 4 × 4000 metres and also competed in the women’s 4 × 400 metres relay at the 2019 African Games in Rabat, Morocco.
Moraa won the bronze medal in the 800m at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon in July.
Same year, she won gold in the 800m at the 2022 Commonwealth Games where she won the race in 1:57:07.
She excelled at the 2023 World Athletics Championship in Budapest, Hungary where she won Kenya a gold medal in the 800 metres finals.
She was admitted to the national police service in September 2021.
