Rev. Obofour warns critics: “Don’t attack Mahama after your silence under NPP

Rev. Obofour, the charismatic leader of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), has called out political critics in a bold and fiery message, urging them to hold off on the attacks against former President John Dramani Mahama as he prepares for his return to office.

Speaking passionately at a recent service, Rev. Obofour directed his words squarely at supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and vocal critics of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He reminded them not to suddenly find their voices now that Mahama is about to assume the presidency again.

“We’ve got to stop this trend where the loudest criticisms only come when the NDC is in charge!” Rev. Obofour said, shaking his head.

“If you kept quiet when things were tough under Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, don’t suddenly start shouting now just because Mahama is back.”

The clergyman didn’t hold back, calling out what he saw as double standards in Ghana’s political scene. He pointed out that the outgoing administration had faced plenty of challenges, but it didn’t seem to get the same level of accountability from critics as the NDC does.

“Let’s be honest,” Rev. Obofour added with a chuckle. “Ghanaians have been through some tough times lately, but we’ve shown unbelievable resilience. Now is the time to give Mahama the space to lead and fix the country without all the extra pressure.”
