Nigerian Afrobeat star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has finally spoken out following a recent online clash with his colleague Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, commonly known as Wizkid.
The long-standing rivalry between the two music icons reignited on October 1, 2024, sparking widespread reactions across social media.
The drama began when Wizkid posted a subliminal tweet on X, saying, “Beg me! just like …” Fans quickly speculated that this was a reference to a viral video involving Davido.

The situation escalated as Wizkid called Davido “wack” and “talentless” in a series of posts.
He also mocked Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke, affectionately known as the “dancing governor,” for his popular dance videos.
In a heated exchange, Wizkid went so far as to lay curses on Davido and his entire family, even targeting Davido’s billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke.
Despite the insults, Davido chose not to directly address the attacks. Instead, he shared a post on Thursday evening that seemed to reflect his mindset in the face of the drama.

In his message, he encouraged others to remain true to their craft and to be resilient on their journeys.
Sharing stunning photos of himself, Davido wrote, “Stay authentic to your craft, resilient on your journey, and lift others along with you. Be the standout swift. Are you ready to soar together?”
