Pastor Love, the head pastor of Action Grace Chapel and ex-husband of renowned gospel singer Obaapa Christy, has been sentenced to 4 years in hard labor for theft.
According to reports from GBC Ghana Online, Pastor Love, also known as Pastor Hammond Love, was found guilty of stealing a 4×4 vehicle entrusted to him for sale.
The case against Pastor Love dates back to 2016 when a U.S. resident, Samuel Amankwah, entrusted him with the responsibility of clearing a 4×4 vehicle shipped into Ghana.

After clearing the vehicle using his own money, Pastor Hammond was instructed to sell it for $50,000 and deduct the amount he spent on duties.
However, after being told to hold off on the sale, Pastor Love found himself in a tight spot.
When Amankwah arrived in Ghana in April 2017 and requested the vehicle, Pastor Love could not produce it despite repeated demands.
This led Amankwah to file a complaint with the police, resulting in Pastor Love’s arrest in May 2017.
During police interrogation, Pastor Love claimed he had taken a loan of GH¢40,000 at a 20 percent interest rate to clear the vehicle.

He then stated he sold the vehicle for GH¢80,000 without the owner’s consent, using most of the money to pay off the loan.
However, he failed to provide the police with evidence of the loan or details about the buyer, leading the judge to conclude that he had been dishonest.
